A LITTLE ABOUT ME

BIOGRAPHY

I am an international active architect, who worked primarily in the health sector and who spend most of his time in this challenging yet interesting field of work. Photography was secondary, but it  already occupied me in my youth. Initially  still the analog photography  including dark-room development, then very early on the new digital techniques which showed and opened up completely new possibilities for me

Photography is my passion. I search for the unusual in the daily , I look for the seemingly insignificant, the distraction in the order and I love beautiful simplicity and I love color, as can be seen in the following pages.

My work can be found in private and commercial collections.

         I DON'T HAVE A PHILOSOPHY,
                    I HAVE A CAMERA.
                         (Saul Leitner)

ABOUT MY PROCESS

MY WORK

From my profession certainly arises a minimalistic approach and my love for  geometry, abstraction and perhaps as a balance I am occupying myself with experimental alternatives such as gestural photography (ICM), multi-exposure and deliberate blur.

Documenting reality is not my aim, it is much more interpreting or rendering things as I see and feel my surrounding. My images are subjective, rarely objective. But I am rooted and I respect reality, although the subsequent post-processing work is just as important to me as the taking of a picture. In doing so I am always trying to accentuate the characteristics of a scene and the moment. I reject and avoid obvious manipulation and I refuse using AI techniques. Saying this I am fully aware that manipulation already begins with the framing and the selection of the lens.
